Even novel... I haven't read a book in french for at least 2 years... besides La Presse and Lucky Luke et la belle province (wich was really bad btw)

I'm a father and I think about the generation after of me who will be the one checking my books and movies when he'll grow older.

I don't want my son to be abligated to watch or read something in english. I want him to learn english but I don't want him to have the obligation to know english to check my stuff.

I mostly watch my movies in english. Went to see Sin City in English. But I don't buy a DVD if both versions aren'T on it (a few exception to that rules though). For example, American BEauty is one of my favourite movie and I haven't bought it yet. Why? Because it,s been release 3 times already and Dreamwork hasn't put the french version on t yet. I would watch it in english, but I want my son to be able to watch it as soon as he's old enough without having to know english to do so.

I may buy Sin City books inenglish, but I saw french versions a few weeks ago that looked great and might buy those.

I'm not a father yet, so I never tought about that angle... My father used to have all the tintin, ast?rix and lucky lucke in French, so that's what got me into reading but I did "switch" to english book pretty early, like around 12, that's when I started reading Marvel comics, after that it was mostly in English... One of the reason I think is because all the novel I wan't to read are either found only in English or the French translation is too pricey for my taste... (I'm a cheap bastard [img]tongue.gif[/img] )

Now, to stay on topic... I heven't seen Sin City yet... probably this week [img]smile.gif[/img]

If you check cinemamontreal.com yu'll see that people either gives it 9 or 10/10 or 1/10

I take the review from cinemamontreal.com with a grain of salt... but a review rarely discourage me from seing a movie.

I tried to convince my gf to see sin city, but she's not really into that kind of movie. So when the review form Yvan Martineau came on "FLASH", she listned to the review (the comments were mostly "great looking flick, but not a strong scenario and only for the fans of the books (remember it's a "Martineau" review))

So when he's done, I look at Isa and tell her in a enthousiastic way:"Well, he liked it!!!"
